Powered by AI
Doxford Hall is frequently praised for its architecture, gardens featuring a maze, and relaxing ambiance, offering a visual treat and peaceful escape. The dining experience, especially the food in the a la carte restaurant, stands out for many, with options ranging from Sunday lunch in the wood-paneled dining room to meals in the bar area where dogs are welcome. Some guests have mentioned the gym equipment could be more updated, but overall, the Georgian building offers spacious rooms and quiet areas like the library, complemented by leisure facilities like the swimming pool, steam room and sauna.

Really good Lunch and Festive Atmosphere

wood panelstasteful decororganic producemeat-free lunch
My wife and I experienced Sunday lunch. The main dining room has wood panels and tasteful decor. The vegetables tasted like organic produce, full of flavour. My wife enjoyed the turkey, and I savored the meat-free lunch. Coffee in the Georgian Room was nice, due to a real fire.
The room lacked shower caps.

The location allows travel to coastal attractions. Bamburgh Castle is accessible. Holy Island is similarly easy to reach, facilitating exploration of Northumberland's coastal landmarks. It is convenient for day trips.
Dining

The hotel restaurant has style and ambiance. The restaurant food quality is excellent. The menu offered choices. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. I got more veggie gravy when I asked for it.
